FAQ

The Concentrations tab stays disabled until the episode has at least one recorded dose. Add a dose first — see Doses.

Estimation needs at least one dose and one concentration to run — it starts automatically once both exist. If it still hasn’t produced results, check for a blocking validation error shown above the chart (for example, a required covariate that hasn’t been recorded yet). See Estimation.

Optimization only works once the patient’s dosing regimen has reached steady state. If you see a notice instead of the optimization form, the regimen isn’t there yet. See Optimization.

Why can’t I create an episode with this drug?

Section titled “Why can’t I create an episode with this drug?”

Two checks run when you pick a patient and drug: the drug must be assigned to at least one center, and that center must match the patient’s own center. If either fails, the dialog explains which one — ask an administrator to assign the drug to the right center. See Episodes and Drugs & PK models.

Why is everything in this episode read-only?

Section titled “Why is everything in this episode read-only?”

The episode has been finalized. Use Restore in the episode header to make it editable again. See Episodes → Episode lifecycle.

I don’t see any menu items, or I see a “no center” message

Section titled “I don’t see any menu items, or I see a “no center” message”

Your account hasn’t been assigned to a center yet. Ask an administrator to assign one — see Administration → Users or Logging in → No center assigned.

A simulation is disabled when I try to generate a report

Section titled “A simulation is disabled when I try to generate a report”

Only simulations with valid results can be turned into a report. If a simulation failed to run or hasn’t finished, fix or re-run it from the Simulation tab first.

I’m an administrator but I can’t see the Administration Guide in the docs

Section titled “I’m an administrator but I can’t see the Administration Guide in the docs”

The Administration Guide requires being signed in to PKPDrugs with an administrator account, in the same browser session — see the note at the top of Administration overview.

How long can I stay idle before I am signed out?

Section titled “How long can I stay idle before I am signed out?”

By default, 30 minutes without activity. A session lasts at most 24 hours, or 7 days with Remember me. Your administrator can change these values. See Logging in.

I typed my password wrong several times and now I must wait

Section titled “I typed my password wrong several times and now I must wait”

By default, after 5 failed sign-ins you wait 1 minute; each further failure doubles the wait, up to 60 minutes. The count restarts after 15 quiet minutes.

Which characters must my password contain?

Section titled “Which characters must my password contain?”

8 to 128 characters with a lowercase letter (a to z), an uppercase letter (A to Z), a digit (0 to 9) and a special character (any other character, accented letters included).

Only .cpp files up to 5 MB are accepted, and the model must compile on the server. See Drugs & PK models.

Why do I not see a drug that an administrator just uploaded?

Section titled “Why do I not see a drug that an administrator just uploaded?”

Clinical users see only complete drugs assigned to their own center. A draft or another center’s drug is hidden.
